Old-fashioned rolled oats, nonfat yogurt, pure honey and AllWhites® egg whites are the powerhouse ingredients in this heart healthy quick bread recipe. This delicious bread is super-moist with a dense, even texture-perfect for toasting.

    honey
  • 1 Tbsp.
    canola oil
  • 1/4 tsp.
    cinnamon

  • 1 cup
    old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup
    nonfat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup
    AllWhites® egg whites*
  • 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp.
    honey
  • 3 Tbsp.
    canola oil
  • 2/3 cup
    nonfat milk
  • 1 1/3 cups
    whole-wheat flour**
  • 1 cup
    all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp.
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp.
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp.
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp.
    baking soda

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Grease bottom of a 9x5-inch loaf pan.***

  • Mix all topping ingredients together in small bowl with fork until crumbly.

  • Mix 1 cup oats, yogurt, AllWhites egg whites, 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons honey, 3 tablespoons oil, and milk in a large bowl.

  • Mix flours, baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, salt, and soda in medium bowl. Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until evenly moistened. Spoon batter into loaf pan.

  • Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over top of batter.

  • Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown and a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove bread from pan and cool on wire rack.
